Online Learning Librarian + Digital Resources Librarian (tenure-track
faculty) -- Bucks County Community College -- Pennsylvania
Two Tenure-Track Faculty Positions: (#021307-51201)
Online Learning Librarian
Digital Resources Librarian
Responsibilities: Manage and maintain the College's integrated library
system with the library's website, enterprise systems, library databases,
and Blackboard/CE6. Promote and improve online access and integration
of digital resources with other library resources. Work in a collaborative
environment. Serve as liaison to appropriate vendors. Provide professional
support for faculty colleagues and engage students in understanding
principles of information literacy. Participate in providing reference
services.
Required:
·Master's Degree in Library Science or closely related field from
an ALA-accredited institution.
·Demonstrated experience in managing integrated library systems,
web development, and/or implementing information technology in an
academic library.
Preferred:
· two years' professional higher educational library experience;
· strong interpersonal and communication skills;
· professional level community college library experience;
· experience in providing reference and information literacy
services;
· ability to work effectively in team environment;
· experience in operation of a major ILS such as SIRSI/Unicorn;
· knowledge of scripting (PHP, JavaScript, etc.) and markup (XML,
HTML, etc.) languages.
