If you want to be part of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), an institution that is playing a vital role in the shaping the future of Wisconsin, we've got something great in mind for you! The Information and Media Technologies division at UWM serves over 28,000 students, and 5,000 faculty and staff on a 92-acre campus in a residential neighborhood near the shores of Lake Michigan just minutes from downtown Milwaukee. The data architect is responsible for recommending, developing, and implementing data administration policies, plans, standards and procedures for an enterprise data environment and architecture. As a supervisor, this individual will identify priorities, allocate staff time to meet objectives, establish project schedules, and ensure the development of staff through training and other development activities. Well-qualified candidates will have extensive experience with data analysis concepts and techniques, data modeling, data warehousing techniques, development methodologies, and design and implementation in Oracle database environments. Additional abilities include experience in aligning data, policies, workflows and information systems; thorough knowledge of project management principles, methods and practices; proven ability to create a strong collaborative team environment, lead and direct technical staff; and strong communication, presentation and documentation skills.
