A quality program, location in Chicago's River North area and continued support from our parent company, Career Education Corporation, are just some of the reasons for our growth over the last few years. College Librarian - Culinary Arts Chicago, IL Responsibilities: * Manage Library personnel, materials, and equipment. * Supervise library employees (work study students). * Prepare budgets. * Direct library activities to ensure that everything functions properly. * Develop and direct information programs and systems for the students to ensure information is organized to meet users' needs. * Assist in Orientation and Stitch-In activities. * Assist with Institutional Effectiveness Plan with Vice President, Academic Affairs, as needed. * Ensure compliance with all accreditation and licensure standards. * Take primary responsibility for providing library instruction. * Coordinates all instruction activities. * Matches instructional requests from teaching faculty. * Develop and prepare teaching aids, including those based on new applications of technology. Requirements: * At least a Master's degree in Library Science is required. Recent Master's program graduates are encouraged to apply. * At least 2 years of related experience in the education industry is preferred. * Excellent written and verbal communication, planning, and organization skills. * Ability to design, develop, implement and manage new products or programs.
