Lila D. Bunch Library of Belmont University is seeking applications for a 12 month non-tenured faculty rank position in the library’s general reference unit beginning June 2007.  Job responsibilities include providing general reference service (including night and Saturday rotations); teaching information literacy classes; developing and managing the library's special collections; providing assistance when needed with interlibrary loans, and performing other duties as assigned.  An ALA accredited Masters Degree is required.  Preference will be given to candidates with the following:  reference experience in an academic library; knowledge of current trends in academic reference service; experience with teaching information literacy in a college/university; effective group presentation skills; a working knowledge of computer technology and applications, experience with an integrated library system and commercial library databases; and strong interpersonal, oral, and writing skills.  A second masters degree in a subject field is desirable.
