Ten-month, tenure-track, assistant professor. ALA approved M.L.S. or equivalent degree required, science background helpful. Begin July 1, 2007. Assist in developing information literacy programming and instruct patrons in the use of print and electronic information sources within the context of an undergraduate liberal arts college. Provide general reference desk assistance (10-15 hours each week including one evening), supervise the interlibrary loan assistant, and liaison with science faculty regarding service needs and resources. Participate occasionally in the college's interdisciplinary, values oriented general education program. Ability to work well with users and staff as a "team player" is very important.
