Head, Youth Services - Washington County Public Library System, Abingdon, VA is seeking a highly motivated individual to work in a service oriented team environment. Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the library director, the individual hired for this position is responsible for collection and development of juvenile resources; planning, developing, implementing and supervising comprehensive children's and young adult services and programs throughout the library system. Supervision of support staff and management of budget for children's services are additional duties. Salary: Minimum salary of $28,000 with an attractive benefits package. Qualifications: MLS from an ALA- accredited program required with emphasis in education and children's literature desirable. Experience: Two to three years working in children's service in a public library preferred; experience with educational programs or early childhood education desirable.
