Digital Technologies Librarian --  San Diego State University --
California
 

Library: San Diego State University Library and Information Access
seeks applications and nominations for a creative and motivated Digital
Technologies Librarian.  Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Information
Systems and Technology, the successful candidate must have a solid
understanding of current information technology trends in academic
libraries. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive professional
interested in working with technology at a large research library.  The
successful candidate will partner with library staff and faculty to
implement and develop technology-related initiatives. For more information

Responsibilities include stewarding the creative integration of our
current and future search systems with the library's Web site, campus
systems, library databases, SFX and Blackboard; collaborating with library
systems staff, campus technology departments, librarians and teaching
faculty to design, promote and improve on-line access and integration of
electronic resources with other library resources; initiating both the
implementation and the awareness of new features that will enhance user
success in finding and using digital content; promoting a broad
understanding of current standards, issues, trends and real-world
implementations of electronic resources management systems; and serving on
Library, campus, regional and national organizations and initiatives.  For
