School of Business
 
Assistant/Associate/Professor, Finance The School of Business provides
AACSB-accredited undergraduate programs in Business Administration and
Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration, as well as an
evening
MBA program. Applicants should provide evidence of their qualifications in
both teaching and research/scholarly activities. Qualified candidates will
have a Doctorate in Finance or a closely-related field (or be ABD with
evidence that completion is certain within one year) from an accredited
school. Evidence of high quality teaching at the undergraduate or graduate

Assistant/Associate/Professor, Management Information
Systems The School of Business provides AACSB-accredited undergraduate
programs in Business Administration and Business Administration with an
Accounting Concentration, as well as an evening MBA program. Qualified
candidates will have a Doctorate in MIS or a closely-related field (or be
ABD with evidence that completion is certain within one year) from an
accredited school. Evidence of high-quality teaching at the undergraduate

Assistant/Associate/Professor, Marketing
The Citadel’s School of Business Administration is conducting 
national search for a tenure-track Marketing faculty member to join us in
August 2007 in the field of marketing research, e-marketing, marketing
communication, or related fields. The School provides AACSB-accredited
undergraduate programs in Business Administration and Business
Administration with an Accounting Concentration,
as well as an evening MBA program. Applicants should provide evidence of
their qualifications in teaching and research/scholarly activities.
Successful candidates will have a Doctorate in Marketing or related field
(or be ABD with evidence that completion is certain within one year) from
an accredited school and evidence of high-quality teaching at the
undergraduate and/or graduate level. For applicants at
the Assistant Professor level, evidence of potential for quality
research/scholarly activity, and potential for high quality teaching will

Associate/Professor, Educational Leadership
The School of Education invites nominations and applications for a senior
level position in the Division  of Educational Leadership. The School
of Education offers master’s-level programs leading to South Carolina
principal certification in elementary and secondary school administration
and an educational specialist program leading to certification as a
superintendent in South Carolina. Requirements include an earned doctorate
from an accredited university in educational administration or related
field, demonstrated success as a public school administrator, ability to
use and model technology as an instructional tool, and scholarly
credentials sufficient to qualify for a senior level academic appointment.
Preferred qualifications include experience in higher education and as a

School of Humanities and Social Sciences
 
Assistant Professor, History
Specialization in the history of early modern Europe is required. Teaching
responsibilities will consist of undergraduate and graduate courses in the
applicant’s area of concentration and either the World or the

Assistant Professor, Modern Languages (Spanish)Responsibilities include
teaching all levels of Spanish language, Hispanic literature and culture;
occasional directing of summer study programs in Spain and Hispanic
America, and advising students. Fluency in Spanish and English, Ph.D.,
collegiate teaching experience, and scholarly ambition required.Please

School of Humanities and Social Sciences
Assistant Professor, Criminal Justice (2 openings)Candidates should
possess a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or Criminology. Candidates who are ABD
but will complete their Ph.D. by July 2007 will be considered; the J.D. is
not an appropriate degree for this position. A generalist in criminal
justice is preferred with one or more specializations for teaching

School of Science and Math
Assistant Professor, BiologyCandidates should possess a Ph.D. in
Microbiology with a specialization in microbial physiology, environmental
microbiology, or microbial ecology preferred. Primary teaching
responsibilities will include general microbiology at the undergraduate
and graduate levels, undergraduate and graduate specialty courses in the
candidate's area of interest, and participation in the department's
introductory biology courses. Individuals with interest and experience in
the development of General Biology courses for non-science majors are

Professor, Health, Exercise and Sports ScienceApplicants must have
completed a terminal degree in physical education with a strong background
in physical education pedagogy. Candidate will be responsible for teaching
undergraduate and graduate courses in physical education pedagogy and
supervising field experiences and student teaching. Candidates must also
be willing to support the South Carolina physical fitness assessment
project. A minimum of three years of experience teaching K-12 physical

Department Head of Physics A Ph.D.degree in Physics, Astronomy, or a
closely-related field is required. Applicants should be engaged in current
scholarly activity, have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and
a collegial attitude toward administration and leadership. The department
head has a limited teaching load and is responsible for the administrative
activities of the department. Research opportunities and some internal
support funds are available. The initial five-year appointment begins in

Assistant ProfessorThe successful candidate will provide reference and
research service to undergraduate and graduate students and faculty, and
participate in classroom instruction. Responsibilities: Provide reference
service in person and to remote users, including evening and weekend
hours; conduct research consultations with students by appointment;
participate in design and creation of Web-based guides and instruction
tools; assist in course-specific library research instruction for
undergraduate, graduate, and First Year Seminar students; incorporate
technological innovations in classroom and individual instruction; assist
in the selection of traditional and electronic reference and research
sources; serve as collection development liaison to designated academic
departments; participate in college governance through active involvement
on departmental and college-wide faculty committees; and engage in
scholarly and professional activities. Required: ALAaccredited Master of
Library Science or equivalent; strong public service orientation;
experience in relevant research library instruction; knowledge of and
experience with reference services and resources, including electronic
resources; familiarity with Web page design; subject expertise. Please
