Regional Library

LOCATION:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicant will be responsible for a variety of manual and clerical library tasks. Duties include processing and delivery of materials to libraries in the Highland Rim area; assist in weeding of library collections upon request; assist in inventory of collections; assist in ordering materials; prepares materials for shipping; typing cards, pockets and correspondence; data entry; search databases for library holdings; gather and process circulation and other statistics; assist with rotating collections; answering and routing telephone calls; assist with routine maintenance of computers; attend training sessions; cleaning dvd and cd discs; other duties as required.
· QUALIFICATIONS: Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school and one year of office/clerical experience. Any combination of education and experience that provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work may be substituted. Possesses skills in basic computer operation as well as Microsoft Word and other standard office software programs. Writes clear correspondence (mail or e-mail). Types at a moderate amount of speed. Makes simple arithmetic calculations with speed and accuracy. Works well with co-workers in a team environment. Must be willing to work flexible schedule when required; have a legal driver’s license; lift objects (boxes) of 35 pounds; push book carts of 125 pounds; ability to drive a van to deliver materials.
SALARY: $ 1,668 monthly
