You'll find a special subscription offer at http://chronicle.com/4free/?ej _________________________________________________________________ - The text of the job listing is below - Head of Information Literacy & Outreach/Reference Librarian CH10 -- Grand Rapids Community College -- Michigan Head of Information Literacy & Outreach/Reference Librarian (Include Position Number CH10 in your correspondence) Summary: Administer and coordinate the LLC's instruction program which is designed to support teaching and learning throughout Grand Rapids Community College. Provide reference service and participate in collection development. Provide LLC access and support to off-site learners. Requirements: Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution. Three years experience of recent professional experience in instruction and reference services including: experience in information literacy instruction planning and design, substantial classroom teaching in information literacy, broad experience with a wide variety of print and electronic resources, broad experience working with diverse populations, demonstrated initiative in outreach activities, general reference service, collection development and liaison service. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a diverse, fast-paced, service oriented environment. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in using electronic library and information resources and computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Ability to learn and apply new technologies and software for the creation of presentations, tutorials and other instructional materials and for the delivery of reference and outreach services.
