Although this job is not a professional position, the salary is relatively generous ($27,913.60 to start), and The Brentwood Library is a great work environment.  After a good six-month evaluation, the salary increases 5%, and annual merit and market adjustment increases have traditionally been very generous.  Besides the usual government benefits (insurance, sick, vacation, savings plans), city employees receive a free membership to the Brentwood YMCA and limited family dental reimbursement.  Only one evening is involved (Tuesday), and no weekends, which makes it family friendly.  The position is actually the Assistant Circulation Supervisor and involves quite a bit of supervision of approximately 15-20 part-time staff members.  I will be happy to answer any questions about it off the list ([log in to unmask]).
