Information International Associates, Inc. (IIa), an award-winning information and knowledge management company, is seeking a full time systems librarian for the AEDC Technical Library at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. Responsibilities: • Serves as library systems administrator for UnicornSTILAS™ automated system, online products, and future information technologies. • Helps determine current and future library automation requirements to meet customer information needs. Recommends solutions, actions, and changes to library manager based on changing circumstances and needed adjustments. • Original and copy-catalogs publications using the Library of Congress classification system and the COSATI format. • Investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves computer hardware and software problems either personally or through internal/external personnel. • Plans and helps provide training for library staff and customers on library automation services and products. • Shares responsibility for providing reference services and assisting customers. • Shares Interlibrary Loan responsibilities. Qualifications (Required): • Master’s Degree in library or information science (American Library Association-accredited). • Minimum one year experience with an integrated library system (UnicornSTILAS™ preferred.) • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate complex information effectively. • Excellent analytical skills, project management skills, and ability to work effectively under pressure. • Self motivated, high energy and ability to multi-task. • Knowledge and understanding of: o Network protocol, TCP/IP, Intranets; o Internet/WWW applications in libraries; o OCLC o Digital formats, conversion alternatives, and metadata standards. Qualifications (Desirable): • Undergraduate degree in science or computer-related field. • Experience with PCs including Microsoft applications software. • Experience with digitization.
