Additional interviews are being scheduled for the open position of library media specialist at Marshall High School in Marshall, Michigan. Marshall High School has around 800 students, a lively young staff, just switched to the TLC automation system and the district is looking at bond issue options which would involve renovation of the media center. The community has supported school projects and activities for the 30 years I have been at the middle school. The high school principal is very supportive and there is a full time high school media aide. The media specialists in the district have a tradition of working closely and positively together. Marshall is an attractive town in south central Michigan with many opportunities to become an active member of the community. Our last media specialist left because of a spouse’s relocation.
