CAPITAL CITY  PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL
Position  Available:  Librarian/Media Specialist
Capital City Public Charter School is seeking a  talented Library/Media
Specialist to oversee the organization and development of  the  
library in our small
Pre-K-8th grade  school.  The Librarian/Media Specialist maintains the
library environment,  identifies resources to support the curriculum,  
fosters a
school-wide love of  books and literacy, and supports students in  
developing age
appropriate  research, media, and library skills.  The Librarian/Media
Specialist works  closely with classroom teachers in identifying and  
developing
curriculum  materials and addressing the individual needs of students.


Candidates must have a degree in library science or a  related field.
Candidates must possess a deep knowledge of children’s  literature  
and of library
organization. Candidates should have strong  collaboration skills and  
experience
working with a variety of age groups in  diverse and inclusive settings.
Facility with technology and expertise at  integrating technology  
into the
curriculum are also important to this position.  The ability to speak  
Spanish is
desired.
