Two Librarian Positions -- University of North Texas -- Texas
Library: The University of North Texas Libraries, Denton, Texas
announces two librarian positions: The Digital Projects Laboratory
Manager works in a team environment for creating and deploying online
collections and oversees the digitization activities of the Digital
Projects Laboratory. The Lab Manager reports to the Digital Projects Unit
Head and creates and implements workflow for every step of the
digitization process: planning, organizing, digitizing, creating
metadata, performing quality control, and finally completing ingest into
the digital archive. The Music Librarian for Audio and Digital Services is
responsible for overseeing the audio and digital project activities for the
Music Library. Audio responsibilities include supervision of the Audio
Center and Sound Preservation Lab activities, including planning,
equipment maintenance and repair, reserves, selection of recordings,
cataloging as needed, and reference. Digital project responsibilities
include identifying potential projects, project planning/design, and
acting as the liaison to the Libraries' Digital Projects Unit and the
Multi-Media Development Lab. For details on both positions and application
