Reference Student Assistant Position available immediately: Location: Preston Medical Library UT Graduate School of Medicine UT Medical Center 1924 Alcoa Hwy Box U-111 Knoxville, TN 37920-6999 Contact person: Sandy Oelschlegel, Director Phone 865-544-6615 [log in to unmask] Reference Student Assistant 10+ hours per week 7.00 per hour The student reference position assists with reference desk duties by providing answers to directional and collection related questions, recording and responding to consumer and patient health information requests using specific sources and forwarding requests for literature searches to Librarians. Good communication and telephone skills are necessary as is the ability to handle multiple communications simultaneously. Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks is essential to this job, as well as the ability to multi task in a busy environment. Basic computer skills and knowledge of database searching are essential and use of Microsoft office software is desirable. Start training immediately.
