The Division Director will direct and manage a staff of approximately 25 responsible for all aspects of preeminent new science and seminal review journals and related publications including: Pediatrics, Pediatrics Review and Education Program (PREP) The Curriculum, the PREP Self Assessment, PREP Audio Pediatrics in Review, AAP News, AAP Policy.org, AAP Grand Rounds, NeoReviews, NeoReviews Plus, Subspecialty Self Assessments, and Pedjobs; oversee and guide the staff responsible for publishing, promoting, and distributing Academy journals and other DOSJPP publications; and plan and oversee the development of new journals or enhancements to existing journals including Web-based and other media derivatives. We are in search of candidates with a Master's Degree in Business Administration or Publishing/Journalism related field, at least seven year's experience in the management of scientific, technical, and/or medical (STM) publishing and professional continuing education programs, familiarity with print and online periodical production, advertising sales, circulation management, marketing, and budget administration (at least $10 million), and knowledge of continuing medical education principles. Moderate travel required (some international).
