St. Mary’s Health System 900 E. Oak Hill Ave. Knoxville, TN 37917 Position: Marketing and Public Relations Intern, Unpaid, One internship available per semester. Assist the St. Mary’s Marketing and Public Relations Department as it relates to publications, public events, media relations and Web site. Some responsibilities include: - Contributing by writing/editing for St. Mary’s publications – “About Health,” public health magazine and “Messenger,” associate newsletter - Manage registration for St. Mary’s events - Research health-related topics - Review Web trends - Assist in other publications, brochures, manuals, media relations, etc. Qualifications: - Must be a Junior or Senior level college student working towards a bachelor’s degree, recent graduate or master’s student in communication, journalism, marketing, advertising or related field. - Ability to use basic computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel. - College coursework that includes writing press releases and story articles. - Knowledge in AP Style a plus. - Desire to learn and contribute in a highly specialized Marketing and Public Relations Department.
