Information Literacy Librarian --  Thomas University -- Georgia



 THOMAS UNIVERSITY
 Information Literacy Librarian

Thomas University is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented librarian for
public services and Information Literacy Instruction. This position will
play an integral role in supporting Thomas University's Quality
Enhancement Plan, which emphasizes Information Literacy through curricular
and service-learning activities. This position reports to the library
director, and will also work closely with the coordinators of the QEP,
particularly in providing faculty/staff training in Information
Literacy standards and developing students' ability to utilize resources.
Other responsibilities include managing collections and providing general
library service to users.
Required qualifications: Master's degree from an ALA-accredited
program; extensive knowledge of ACRL Information Literacy Competency
Standards and experience working in an Information Literacy program;
thorough knowledge of current academic library services; ability to work
as a member of a team and communicate effectively; and a strong commitment
to public service.
Preferred qualifications: Experience providing Information Literacy
training to faculty and staff; experience delivering library services to
commuting students and students at off-site locations.
