Back by Popular Demand! "Writing Effective Web Site Content"

The "Writing Effective Web Site Content" seminar was so popular the
Professional Development Committee has decided to offer another session,
giving those previously unable to attend a chance to participate in the
highly-demanded, informative seminar.

As the World Wide Web becomes an ever-growing means of communication, public
relations practitioners are realizing how critical it is for organizations
to create and maintain a strong Internet presence. PR professionals know
how to write press releases, feature stories and brochures, yet developing
copy for Web sites remains a mystery to many of us.

To learn how to write for this medium, attend the Professional Development
Committee's "Writing Effective Web Site Content" Seminar on Wednesday, July
19. Held at the offices of Alexander Ogilvy from 6:30-8:30 p.m., this
seminar will be lead by two Internet savvy PR and senior-level writing
professionals: Kellie Mullen, Vice President of Editorial Services for
Alexander Ogilvy, and Tim Hussey, APR, Internet Communications Manager for
Agnes Scott College.

This seminar will provide insight on how writing for the Web differs from
other types of mediums, and rules on how to successfully master it. In
addition, Mullen and Hussey will discuss some of the differences between
writing for eCommerce sites and information-driven sites.

Seminar highlights will include:
* Review of effective and non-effective Web
sites
* Discussions of writing for intranets versus writing for extranets o
Writing for different Web sites and audiences such as eCommerce, B-to-B and
non-profit
* Noting critical elements that are a must for every Web site o
Small group exercises in which guests will be challenged to analyze Web site
content
* Individual work stations for guests to review Web sites during the
seminar

The fee to attend is $25 for members and $35 for non-members, which ncludes
refreshments and speaker handouts. Alexander Ogilvy is located at 400
Colony Square, Suite 980. Parking in the deck below the building will cost
approximately $4-5, depending upon the length of your stay. For driving
directions please, call 404.897.2300.

The seminar will be limited to 50 attendees. Registration must be received
no later than noon on Monday, July 17. There are no cancellations or
