PRSA, Volunteer Chapter Best Practice Roundtable Series What is community relations? Is it being nice to people and going to lots of meetings? Or is it a public relations function that is becoming more highly visible as government and corporations are seeking citizen input in important environmental and business decisions? Sandra Plant, APR, has worked in community relations since 1991 when she joined Bechtel National Inc. on a major environmental cleanup project for the Department of Energy. Sandra, who is now deputy manager of public affairs for Bechtel jacobs Company, is involved in the company's work with stakeholders. She'll share her community relations experiences at the chapter's first Best Practices Roundtable, leading a discussion with other public relations professionals who gather for this casual breakfast meeting with their fellow PR practitioners. Thursday, March 30, 2000 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. United Way of Greater Knoxville Offices, 1301 Hannah Avenue This is a casual meeting, and reservations are not required.
