I am pleased to announce that the NASPA Region III & SACSA Mid-Managers Institute participant application is open! I've included information about the institute below. It is transformative, and I hope you consider attending. Your application is certainly welcomed if you are no longer in Region III/SACSA states. MMI is an application-based program with focused and unique professional development experiences sponsored by SACSA and NASPA Region III. It offers an opportunity for mid-level professionals to enhance and develop the skills, relationships, and dispositions that distinguish them in the profession, and enables them to make more meaningful contributions to the people and programs they serve.

 

The Mid-Managers Institute is designed for individuals with at least five years of experience as full-time professionals with supervisory responsibility for one or more units and professional staff. 

 

Participants can learn from faculty mentors, guest presenters, and their mid-level colleagues. Past topics included: managing from the middle, navigating politics and campus climate, strategic planning, the synergy between academic affairs and student affairs, professional competencies, and career planning. Participants leave with strategies and skills that will make an impact when they return to campus.

 

Cost of Attendance

 

The institute costs $750 for Members (SACSA or NASPA) or $900 for Non-Members. 

 

We encourage applicants to be a NASPA and/or SACSA member at the time of registration. There is a member and non-member registration. Becoming a member of either organization presents incredible professional opportunities we hope you engage in beyond MMI. To join, visit the SACSA and/or NASPA website.

  • Step Two: Letter of Recommendation by your Senior Student Affairs Officer due March 1, 2024
