Position Title: Coordinator Academic Support Services – Veteran and Military Affairs

The Academic Coordinator, a grant funded position, will report to the Program Manager for the Center for Excellence for Veteran Student Success in the Office Veteran and Military Affairs in the Division of Academic & Student Affairs. This position will oversee managing all aspects of academic support for Veteran and military-affiliated students at Florida International University. In addition, this position coordinates communication and activities with campus partners and the advising community. The Academic Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring academic progress on a continual basis for Veteran and military-affiliated students. This position requires consistent and open communication with a variety of campus partners to improve graduation, persistence, and retention rates. Lastly, this position requires a thorough understanding of Department of Veteran Administration and Florida International University compliance guidelines and regulations.
