Subject: U. Michigan Opportunity Hub hiring - Directors of Alum & Employer Engagement, Career Coaches

Hello!

Greetings from Ann Arbor. I’m writing to share three exciting job openings at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor’s (U-M) Opportunity Hub. The Hub is the career exploration center for students in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA).

Please forward these postings to people and networks who may be interested.

  • Director of Alum Engagement - The Director of Alum Engagement provides vision and strategic leadership for the Hub’s alum engagement work. The Director’s portfolio includes defining alum and donor partnerships, building additional strategic partnerships, shaping strategy for engagement, stewardship of funding and resources, and connecting these efforts to the Hub’s overall work. Posting closes March 7, 2021.

  • Director of Employer Engagement - The Director of Employer Engagement provides vision and strategic leadership for the Hub and college’s employer engagement efforts, including leadership of the internship program and design and implementation of employer engagement and recruitment practices for the Hub and the college. The Director of Employer Engagement fosters employer partnerships through relationships with employers, as well as campus partners who also engage with employers in career centers and college departments. Posting closes March 7, 2021.

  • Hub Coach - Hub Coaches provide career coaching services for LSA undergraduates, helping students reflect on their experiences and education to gain an understanding of their interests and potential career goals. Coaches connect students to employment opportunities and to opportunities provided by alums, while also forming relationships and conducting strategic outreach across LSA units, departments, and U-M student groups.  Posting closes February 24, 2021.

At the Hub, we believe in the power of a liberal arts education and we design opportunities for engagement so that all students, with a deep commitment to those who have been historically-underserved, can pursue purposeful work and meaningful lives. As a unit, we are committed to anti-racism and to carrying this commitment through every aspect of our work.

U-M is an incredible place to work and one of the most renowned public institutions in the world, ranking #3 in Top Public Schools. The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts is the largest of U-M’s 19 schools and colleges with more than 100 degree programs, 45 of them in the top 10 for their field. All positions in the Hub work from a liberal arts, student-centered perspective, as we support U-M’s mission to “develop leaders and citizens who will challenge the present and enrich the future.”
