Subject: Dean of College & Career Readiness @ Highline College (posting closes in 3 days)

Hi Folks,

Highline College (a part of the WA state community and technical college system) is seeking a new dean position at Highline College: Dean of College & Career Readiness.

This position has recently been re-envisioned to provide additional admin support and leadership for this critical part of our college. One-third of our students begin in transition courses, most of which start as ESL students. Our college is super committed to serving our local communities and their needs. One example is by providing tuition-free ESL courses.

We are looking for someone who can help us improve our student transition rates from non-credit to credit courses and be leader in serving our ESL students within our state. We re looking for someone to join the academic deans’ team who is a proactive, collaborative, solutions-oriented person who deeply respects students and teachers, and welcomes the chance to collaborate with colleagues across the college. They are joining a team of dedicated folks who want to figure this out together.

An added bonus is you'd get to work with the student affairs deans which means you'd be in monthly meetings with me :)  Please let me know if I can answer any questions about working at Highline. It's a pretty cool place!
