2018 Lehigh University Geometry and Topology Conference

Dates: May 24-27, 2018
Second Announcement

This year's conference will focus on geometric flows.  The conference will start with a first talk at 1:30 pm 
on Thursday, May 24. The last talk will end before noon Sunday, May 27.  The talks on Thursday 
afternoon will be introductory lectures about various types of geometric flows. Graduate students are 
especially encouraged to attend. 

Principal Speakers:

Tristan Collins (Harvard), The Inverse Monge-Ampere flow.

Dan Knopf (UT Austin), Solitons that flow through conical singularities.

D.H. Phong (Columbia), New Curvature Flows in Complex Geometry.

Lu Wang (Wisconsin), Asymptotic Structure of Self-shrinkers.

Guofang Wei (UCSB), Fundamental Gap Estimate on Convex Domains of Sphere.

Brian White (Stanford), TBA

In addition, there will be parallel sessions of contributed talks.  Contributed talks will not be restricted to 
geometric flows, but should fit into the traditional topics of this conference series; Differential (which 
includes geometric flows), Complex, and Algebraic Geometry, Algebraic Topology, and Geometric 
Topology.  Those interested in speaking should submit an abstract of their talk as soon as possible.

There will be a $35 registration fee for all participants.  Continental breakfast will be provided Friday, 
Saturday, and Sunday mornings. On Saturday evening there will be a banquet at no additional cost for 
registered participants.  On-campus housing is available at subsidized rates.

The conference is supported by Lehigh University, the Journal of Differential Geometry, and the National 
Science Foundation. Limited travel support is available for recent PhD's, current graduate students and 
members of underrepresented groups. Participants interested in being considered for this support should 
complete the request for travel support form online as soon as possible. Late applications would be 
considered provided the funds are still available.
