Jan. 29, 12 noon at Club LeConte....Our speaker will be Richard Cate, President of the Downtown Organization who will talk with us about the strategies, politics and communications involved in the Downtown revitalization project.

February 19, at The Foundry, 5:30p.m., Volunteer Chapter meeting featuring speaker Molly Pratt, Director of Governmental Relations for Knox County. Molly will speak with us about her views of how lobbying and public relations work together and the importance of "packaging" and clearly communicating messages to key audiences in the government arena. We will have a social networking time at 5:30 followed by dinner and our speaker at 6:00.
March 27, Club LeConte, (evening time TBA) the Volunteer Chapter's annual "Awards of Excellence" banquet. (Watch for the Call to Entries and Awards Criteria in your mail soon)
April 16, time TBA, we will join the Tri-Cities segment of our chapter for an evening meeting near Kingsport featuring Wayne Estes, Director of Communication for the Bristol Motor Speedway. (watch for more details and maps in upcoming newsletters)
May 14, The Foundry, 5:30, social gathering and dinner meeting featuring speaker, Greg Shelton, Director of Marketing for Managed Care with Covenant Health System. Greg will share with us the details of the campaign his organization launched in their attempt to lease Cookeville General Hospital. Greg will share with us the politics and communication campaign surrounding this public referendum issue and give us an "inside" look at healthcare communication/marketing strategies.
