suite of developer tools, and application products for accounting, human
resources, and manufacturing. The company employs a staff of more than
17,000 software professionals who provide clients consulting, education and
support services in 93 countries around the world.
As part of major reorganization of the marketing function, the PR area has
been centralized and expanded to meet global communications needs. In this
major reorganization several Senior Director positions have been created
focusing on product areas as well as markets. The Senior Directors will be
responsible for strategies and plans impacting entire business units
globally. This is an exciting time to join the organization since budgets and
expectations are high. A minimum of 10 years high tech experience (some
corporate) in a highly complex organization, with a track record of
achievement is required. The company offers top-level salaries with bonus
packages as well as relocation programs.

Bay Area -- (Senior) Public Relations Manager
Fast growing software applications company, just north of San Francisco and
within commuting distance, respected globally for its products, is seeking a
senior level Public Relations Manager. This professional will manage the PR
group and work in a highly matrixed environment. He/she will interface with
senior executives, develop international communications plans based on
company objectives, and act as a spokesperson. Media relations is a
significant responsibility.
In this "flat" organization, the title PR Manager does not reflect the actual
high level of responsibility of the position. The Manager has direct contact
with the CEO and there is only one reporting level between the Director and
the CEO. (The PR Manager reports to the Director.) The compensation offered
and years of experience required (ten with a minimum of seven years in high
tech with at least five in a corporate setting), signals this is a critical
position. If needed, a relocation program is available.
The successful candidate will be a team player with the appropriate
experience to tackle the complexity and challenges of the post.
