The Volunteer Chapter's accreditation exam took place Friday and Saturday,
September 19 and 20. Thanks to Gary McCormick, APR, who served as proctor
and an examiner for the oral portion of the exam. Thanks also to Jeannine
McKamey, APR, and Marty Goolsby, APR, who also served as oral examiners.
"Preparing for Accreditation helps professionals broaden, validate and
refresh their knowledge," says a PRSA brochure. "Having the APR designation
demonstrates a serious commitment to the profession to colleagues and
clients. More and more employees are seeking Accredited candidates for
senior- and management-level positions."
The next opportunity to take the exam will be March 13 - 22, 1998. The
registration deadline for the Spring Test Series is February 12. Think

the cracks. To explore this approach to PR, call 983-4879 or write
