Sent to all CCI graduate students, faculty, and staff.
Better late than never - please avoid the Arena on your way home (today AND tomorrow).
There is a link at the end for suggestions on avoiding the traffic. Be safe!
Best,
Margaret

Subject: Concert Traffic Congestion Alert Thu., May 9
Hello Parking Permit Holder
TRAFFIC ALERT: Thu., May 9 and Fri., May 10, 2024
We anticipate heavy traffic starting around 4 p.m. near Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.
The Zach Bryan concerts on Thu., May 9 and Fri., May 10 are SOLD OUT. Both concerts start at 7 p.m.
PLEASE avoid the Phillip Fulmer Way, Lake Loudoun Blvd, Chamique Holdsclaw Dr, and Neyland Dr intersections in the late afternoon.
Click here for more specific details about concert parking and shuttles - https://parking.utk.edu/2024/05/07/traffic-congestion-expected-for-zach-bryan-concert/.
For those taking finals or working late: you do not have to move your car if youre already on campus. For those arriving on or leaving campus during the late afternoon, here are options for parking on the north side of campus to avoid the very heavy congestion around the arena - https://parking.utk.edu/2024/05/09/finals-parking-and-zach-bryan-concert/.
Thank you,
Parking and Transportation
