Hello UTKMATH followers,
Here is an announcement from Pi Mu Epsilon regarding their Annual Conference:
---------------
Normally we hold the PME Annual Conference in conjunction with MathFest. However, this year we will not. Instead, we are excited to announce that our Annual Conference will be held at the AMS-MAA Joint Meetings in Boston, Jan 4-7, 2023. As in the past, we hope to offer funding for PME students to present in the PME Paper Sessions at JMM 2023. Details on the funding for student speakers in the PME paper sessions at JMM are as follows.
1) Speakers receive $400 in subsistence.
2) Speakers will receive transportation reimbursement up to $600.
(The maximum transportation reimbursement per chapter is $1,800. So, maximum three speakers from UTK may get transportation reimbursement.)
3) PME will contact students later with directions for applying for PME funding.
Note that this only refers to speakers in the PME Paper Sessions. Funding for students presenting in the AMS-PME Poster Session will be handled by the AMS.
