Hello everyone,
Today we have another Statistics and Data Science seminar. This time our speaker is Sandra Nguemto, UTK and the details of the talk are attached below.
The seminar is scheduled for 4:30pm in Ayres 111.
Best,
Ioannis
Speaker: Sandra Nguemto Guiawa, UTK
Title: Generative Modeling in Quantum Machine Learning
Abstract: Quantum Machine Learning is an emerging research area that explores ideas at the intersection of Machine Learning and Quantum Computing. One of the main goals of this field is to take advantageof quantum hardware and theory, to achieve computational speedups and deal with tasks that are hard or impossible in classical computing. In this talk, we introduce the field of Quantum Machine Learning, and we focus on Generative Modeling within this framework. We present a Quantum Generative Adversarial Network with a novel architecture and features capable of dealing with a larger pool of data than most models currently found in the literature.
