It is my pleasure to announce the
*2018 Computational Physics Student Summer Workshop at Los Alamos
National Laboratory*
We invite applications from highly qualified undergraduate and graduate
students to participate in the 2018 Computational Physics Student Summer
Workshop at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The workshop is a wonderful
opportunity to participate in *cutting edge research* at the Laboratory
while receiving a generous stipend. Additionally, students will learn
about *computational multi-physics* in an *integrated lecture series*
and have the opportunity to tour the *world-class facilities* at Los
Alamos National Laboratory.
More about our Summer Workshop, including a downloadable flyer and
directions and deadlines for student applications, can be found here:

This yearb
computational science, mathematics, and algorithmic challenges that we
hope are attractive to students from a variety of backgrounds. We plan
to pursue twelve different projects that involve multiple aspects of
computational physics, including the study of fluid structures,
instabilities, and turbulence, plasma physics, multiple other numerical
and solver algorithms, thermal radiation flow, future computer
architectures, and more.
Project descriptions are on our website. If you have any questions
about the Summer Workshop, please feel free to contact me using the
information in my signature.
*If you wish to receive future announcements of upcoming workshops,
*please join our new mailing list <http://eepurl.com/c_w4T5>*.* This is
a low traffic list (2-3 emails per year) to provide updates on each
yearb
sent using our internally-maintained mailing list.
Cordially,
Jim
