We have had a power flicker from KUB today on Circuits LA1 and LA2 at about 8:07 AM. FS personnel are in the process of restarting equipment.
Obviously the repairs last week have not corrected this issue. KUB is continuing to troubleshoot the problem. When we experienced these problems a few weeks ago it was also during a rain event and we experienced more issues as it continued to rain. Unfortunately, this could happen again today.
We will be switching circuits at Laurel Substation at about 9:45 AM today, 11/6/17, to hopefully minimize further issues and assist KUB troubleshooting. This switching will put all buildings on the KUB circuit that has not been experiencing issues. For those that did not receive the notice earlier today, we are still experiencing power flickers on Circuits LA1 and LA2 during the rain event this morning.
While it is anticipated there will be no affect to UT buildings, there is the possibility of a momentary loss of power. We have personnel on site to restart equipment and systems should anything happen.
