All,
FFWCC is hiring an adaptation coordinator to work on climate change within the state of Florida. See the brief description below:

This strategic position will serve as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Adaptation Coordinator. Primary responsibilities are to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive Agency approach to climate adaptation with an emphasis on planning, research, and management activities.

1. Coordinate Internal Adaptation Activities — This position coordinates and leads the FWC Climate Change Steering Committee and associated workgroups, incorporates adaptation planning into existing FWC programs and functions, identifies management and research information needs, facilitates project development, stays current on the latest climate science, and provides periodic written updates, presentations, reports or other materials that can be used by staff.

2. Coordinate External Adaptation Activities – This position identifies, and is the FWC point of contact for programs and efforts external to FWC that are pursuing climate adaptation conservation issues. The position participates in relevant workshops and meetings and provides information back to FWC staff.

3. Partnerships – This position coordinates closely with other fish and wildlife professionals and stakeholders, both internal and external to the Commission to advance programmatic goals and objectives. This work involves developing substantive partnerships designed to enhance and leverage conservation opportunities where shared priorities occur.
