Tennessee Wesleyan University seeks a creative, energetic and technologically savvy
information services librarian to join a library team committed to excellence in academic
support services. The appointment is scheduled to begin in Fall 2016 and will involve an
opportunity to play a leadership role in the transformation of the library into a Learning
Commons which will serve as the campus hub for teaching and learning resources. Primary
responsibilities include the development of innovative information literacy programming and
online instructional materials, oversight of circulation services, management of the library
website, promotion of library services via social media and support for collection
development.
Candidates with an ALA accredited MLS are preferred along with excellent oral, written, and
interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work collegially, and a strong service
commitment. Experience with teaching information literacy and access services preferred.
Depending upon candidate qualifications, initial appointment may be at the rank of assistant
