Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) invites applications for the full-time position of Medical Librarian.
The Medical Librarian shall be responsible for providing reference assistance, collection development, bibliographic instruction, and circulation support to the Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) and, as needed, other faculty, staff, and students on campus as well as extended learning sites. This individual’s primary responsibility will be to provide library services support to the Osteopathic Medicine faculty, staff, and students. Qualifications
Required: ALA accredited Masters in Library Science, must be willing to travel, ability to work weekends and evenings, two years additional subject knowledge or experience relevant to health sciences, possess a broad knowledge of print and electronic reference sources-specifically for health sciences programs, ability to teach and present a variety of library and information science topics, broad knowledge of computer applications and technology used for office applications, library instruction, and library services, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work creatively and cooperatively in a team environment to enhance library programs and services.
Preferred: Academy of Health Information Professionals’ credentials. Additional advanced degree.
