Subject: Digital Scholarship librarians with geospatial skills, Boston College

Do you have expertise in GIS and other geospatial technologies? Consider joining the Digital Scholarship team at Boston College Libraries and adding your skills in digital mapping to complete our team. There are three positions available.

Head Librarian, Digital Scholarship
The Head of Digital Scholarship will lead a team and colleagues across Boston College to envision, plan, and deliver innovative and sustainable digital research in concert with student, faculty, and library needs. Through exploration of new technologies, and engagement with digital scholarship and digital library practices, standards, and systems, this individual will provide strong leadership, coordination, and project management for the team. The Head will possess a technical background to direct the selection and implementation of appropriate technologies and develop the skill set of the team. He or she will oversee all requests for new digital scholarship initiatives; contribute creative ideas for meaningful new uses of digital content, exhibiting an understanding of data curation; and develop services in support of introducing digital research methods and current approaches. Visit our employment site for more information on this position and how to apply: library.bc.edu/employment

Digital Scholarship Librarian / Bibliographer (2 positions: Liaison to English or History) Boston College Libraries seek two Digital Scholarship Librarians. These positions advance digital scholarship by providing research services, technical support, and project management assistance for members of the BC community engaged in technology-rich scholarly projects. Both librarians maintain deep knowledge and practical expertise in an evolving interdisciplinary landscape of digital scholarship tools and methods, including but not limited to textual and spatial analysis, statistical computation, and data visualization. Each position also serves as Bibliographer/Liaison for English or History. Applicants will apply for either the English or History position. Visit our employment site for more information on this position and how to apply: library.bc.edu/employment

About the Boston College Libraries

The Libraries offer an agile and dynamic environment that encourages exploration of user-centered initiatives.
