Hi everyone,
If you are planning to take ARTH 402, the research seminar for majors, in the fall you will need to sign up on a list in the Art department office. There are only 12 seats in the class, so we want to ensure that majors, for whom this is a required course, can get in.
If you are planning to graduate any time before December 2017 (so December 2016, May 2017 or summer 2017) you need to be in this class. ARTH 375 is a prerequisite, and the more upper-division art history courses you have completed the better. If you are a minor you may also sign the list, and we will accommodate you if possible; however, be advised that this course requires a significant amount of work, including a fully documented research paper and a 20-minute oral presentation.
Dr. Hiles is teaching the course which will meet once a week, on Wednesdays 10:10 am - 1:10 pm. Once we have determined the demand for the course, Ellen Orner (in the office) will clear you to register for the course.
