Keep Your Grassroots Special Event from Planting Your Face in the Dirt
Unless one has been involved in planning and executing a large-scale special event, it is impossible to understand the man-hours needed, the delicate balances and diplomacy required, and the often chaotic logistics happening behind the scenes. Add a limited budget - and (gasp!) a volunteer board - to the mix, and the difficulty is magnified. We'll talk about some of the primary considerations when planning a community special event and share some free, high-impact resources to help your event succeed while preserving your sanity.
Join us Thursday, February 18 as we hear from:
* Allison Sousa, executive director of the Farragut Business Alliance and founder of Word's Out Marketing & PR, LLC
Sousa has served in various non-profit executive management and marketing capacities for over 25 years. She founded Word's Out Marketing & PR, LLC in 2010, with a focus on assisting small businesses and non-profits in the community. She is actively involved in economic development efforts in East Tennessee, including her role as executive director of the Farragut Business Alliance. She is the mother of two teenaged boys and the oldest of four girls (which explains a LOT!).
