Dear all,
The 126th Allen Medal Exam will take place on March 10, 4-6pm in Ayres
112. The details are in the attached poster.
The Allen Medal is one of the oldest (and most prestigious) awards at
UT. This award is given to recognize a freshman student who
demonstrates, upon testing, the best knowledge of algebra, plane
geometry, trigonometry, analytic geometry and single variable calculus.
The competition is limited to freshmen but it is not limited to math
majors. The medal and cash prize will be presented on Honors Day, which
will be held on April 14, 2016 at the McClung Museum and Auditorium.
If you have questions, feel free to contact me.
Best,
Abner J. Salgado
