Hi everyone,
Lambda Law Society is excited to announce we have partnered with the Campaign
for Southern Equality, Freedom to Marry, and the Tennessee Equality Project on
this great event!
As most of you know, the U. S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on marriage on
April 28 in Washington, D.C. and is on track to rule on the freedom to marry in
Tennessee - and nationwide - this summer. Now we need to do all that we can to
show important the freedom to marry is in the Volunteer State.
That’s why on Monday, April 13, Lambda Law Society is proud to work with
Freedom to Marry and the Campaign for Southern Equality in hosting a free special
event in Knoxville to share more about what’s happening in the campaign to win
marriage in Tennessee, the South, and nationwide.
WHEN: Monday, April 13. 2015 • 6:30 - 8:00pm
WHERE: College of Law at University of Tennessee • Room 132
ADDRESS: 1505 Cumberland Ave. • Knoxville, TN 37916
RSVP: http://www.freedomtomarry.org/TennesseeTownHall
Evan Wolfson, founder and president of Freedom to Marry, will be joining other
leaders for this panel - including Campaign for Southern Equality Executive
Director Rev. Jasmine Beach-Ferrara and attorneys from the Tennessee marriage
case currently before the U.S. Supreme Court - to discuss how we can ensure that
the nation stands on the right side of history as soon as possible, for good.
See you there!
Jennifer Watson
