Dear UTK STEM Master’s and Ph.D. Students,
We are writing to request your participation in the 2015 UTK STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Math) Graduate Student Survey. You will receive an
email with a link to the survey on Monday March 17. The survey administrators,
Integrated Learning Innovations (ILI), will be sending you the email with a link to
the survey. This email will come from Dr. Caroline Szymeczek, President of ILI, via
the email address “[log in to unmask] via surveymonkey.com.”
The deadline for completion is March 31, 2015.
Data from this annual survey is used to help UTK determine how to strengthen its
graduate programs to ensure excellence and equity across its growing and diverse
student population. In addition, it will provide basic training data that UTK and
funding agencies require for training and education grant applications. Finally, this
data will help support the university’s “Vol Vision” initiative, which aims to elevate
UTK so it stands among the nation’s top 25 public research universities.
By complying with this request, you are providing us with vital information we can
use to enhance your graduate training and assist you with timely completion of
your degree and future success. Please note that all of your response data will be
kept anonymous.
I want to thank you in advance for your participation. Your responses will enable
the Graduate School and UTK at large to better serve its STEM graduate students.
Sincerely
Carolyn R. Hodges, PhD
Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School
Professor of German
