Dr. Ruth Fassinger is a pioneer of feminist psychology and one of the most
celebrated counseling psychologists of her generation. She is professor emerita at
the University of Maryland, College Park, where she taught for many years and led
the counseling psychology doctoral program, which is widely regarded among the
very best in the country. She is currently a visiting scholar at the American
Psychological Association and continues an active career researching and
consulting on social justice issues at the intersections of feminist, vocational, and
counseling psychology.
She will be talking Monday March 23 from noon-1:30 in the Shiloh Room at the
UC. The title of her talk is “Every dream you have is possible: Career journeys of
successful women leaders”.
