We will be holding the election for GSS President and Vice President on Thursday,
April 9 from 8:00AM-5:00PM. The deadline for turning in petitions and forms is
Friday, March 27 by 5:00PM. Candidates will be certified and the ballot for the
election will be posted to the SGA website by Monday, April 6.
Graduates who are interested in running for GSS President or Vice President will
need the following forms that can be found in the appendices section of the 2015
Election Packet (http://sga.utk.edu/elections/): A, D, E, and F. To qualify to run for
GSS President and Vice President, the candidate must currently be enrolled in at
least one (1) or more hours and fully admitted to a degree seeking program. The
candidate must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 in the Graduate School
and 2.00 in the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Law. To be
eligible to run they must get the signatures of at least 50 students taking one (1)
or more credit hours in the Graduate School, College of Veterinary Medicine, or the
College of Law. These signatures will be collected on appendix E.
