The Women’s Coordinating Council, with support from the Circlehood of Women
Philanthropists, is proud to announce the Inaugural Women’s Empowerment
Summit to be held on March 7th, 2015.
This Summit seeks to educate and empower UT students through a series of
workshops about feminism, sexuality and religion, women in leadership roles, and
current legal issues. Featured speakers will include Knoxville’s first female mayor,
Madeline Rogero, and UT Dean of Students, Dr. Melissa Shivers.​ Additionally, there
will be a panel during lunch featuring women in male-dominated career fields.
Registration is free and open to all UT students, faculty, and staff through VOLink:

credentials.) Registration will close Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 5 p.m.
Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. in the University Center on March 7th. All
participants will receive free lunch and an event t-shirt.
