Each year the Veterinary Business Management Association holds an all-day event
that facilitates an in-depth exploration of topics integral to our business education.
Business is so much more than book-keeping and spreadsheets: it’s people,
communication, and the component vectors that lead from dreams to reality. This
year the VBMA is excited to invite Veterinary Business Consultant, David Pageau*,
to speak with us on Saturday, February 21st about leadership and the basics of
niche marketing. This unique opportunity is open to anyone interested in
attending: students, staff, faculty, and members of the community.
In his discussion of leadership, Mr. Pageau will discuss facets such as management
tips, modalities of communication, and the importance of a unified vision. Next he
will expand upon the role of niche marketing in business, discuss market
differentiation, and explain how targeted initiatives can influence the profitability of
your company. After lunch Mr. Pageau will be holding a workshop and discussion
related to the morning’s presentations. While much of the material will be
discussed in the context of veterinary medicine, these topics are integral to the
success of individuals in any business.
