The Marines' Memorial Association (www.marineclub.com <http://www.marineclub.com/> ), which is a non-profit organization under the leadership of Major General James ('Mike') Myatt, USMC (Ret.), asked me to send you this below and attached important 2015 Military Veterans Scholarships announcement to distribute to current and prospective students at the University of Tennessee Knoxville who are veterans, reservist or active duty members. The Marines' Memorial Association will award scholarships this year that are valued at over $100,000 total.
Please also distribute this scholarships announcement to your network of veterans support organizations outside of your university to make them aware of the availability of scholarship funds that are now being offered for the 2015 - 2016 school year by The Marines' Memorial Association. These scholarships are specifically for military veterans, active duty members or reservists who served honorably in any of the military branches. The deadline for the scholarship application, which can be completed online, is only a few months away on April 23, 2015.
The goal of the Marines Memorial Association Scholarship Program is to reach veterans who are either currently enrolled in college or those who want to further their education by attending college this fall and could use some extra financial help to pay for their education.
Special Announcement: College Scholarships For Military Veterans
The Marines' Memorial Association is an organization that is open to veterans and active duty personnel of all military branches who served honorably in the military and in April 2015 the organization will award over $100,000 in scholarships to our U.S. Military Veterans from all branches.
The Marines' Memorial Association has a total of 8 Scholarships Programs for the 2015 - 2016 school year. And the following 2 Scholarship Programs are open to all veterans and do not require a membership to the Marines Memorial Association to apply:
· THE HAMMER FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
Eight of these Hammer Family Scholarships are available in the amount of $5,000 each. All eligible U.S. Veterans who wish to study in the fields of Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering (Aerospace, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, or Mechanical) are welcome to apply. James and Linda Hammer are Benefactor Members of the Marines' Memorial Association and are eager to assist student Veterans committed to advancing their education.
· THE MEMORIAL TRIBUTE SCHOLARSHIP
Four of these Memorial Tribute Scholarships are available in the amount of $2,500 each. The Tribute Scholarship is available for military personnel leaving full time service and entering an undergraduate college program. All US military personnel who have transitioned from Active Duty to reserve or civilian status within the past 3 years may apply.
