Hi everyone,
If you are receiving this you have agreed to be added to the listserv for art history majors and minors (and other interested parties). I'm worried that some people might have added their information to the sign up sheet without reading what it was they were signing, so if you DO NOT want to be on this list, please let me know and I will remove you.
For those of you majoring or minor in art history, please read the following carefully as it could affect graduation.
All art history minors using a catalog from Fall 2011 or later must take ARTH 375.
Art History majors must take ARTH 375 and 402. ARTH 375 is a prerequisite for 402
Generally, ARTH 402, which is the majors' research seminar, is only offered in the fall. There have been exceptions to this if there was enough demand to warrant a second class in the spring, but you shouldn't count on that, so you will need to plan to take 402 at the latest in the fall before you plan to graduate (which could be that December, or the following May or August). So, if you plan to graduate in December 2015, May 2016 or Summer 206, you must take 402 no later than Fall 2015.
ARTH 375 is only offered in the spring semester. If you are a major and plan to take 402 next fall (2015) , you should take 375 this coming spring.
If you have any questions about when you need to take 375, or 402 if you are a major, please review your DARS report with your adviser.
