*****Funeral Arrangments for Jonathan Hairston*******
Most of you know my work study Jonathan Hairston. Jonathan unexpectedly and suddenly passed away over the weekend. Jonathan was always out front in the VA office and greeted VA students with his beautiful and warm smile. When I hired Jonathan over a year ago he was very excited about working with VA students. Jonathan was a senior in Anthropology. He was also a member of the student Group “VOLFighters” and Vice President of the student veteran honor society “SALUTE”. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jonathans family, friends, and military unit. Counseling is available on campus at the Counseling Center http://counselingcenter.utk.edu/ or by calling 865-974-2196. Veterans and military service members may also use the Knoxville VA Outpatient Clinic on Ray Mears Blvd at 865-545-4592. Myself, along with the other work study students will be participating in the Marine Mud Run, http://www.knoxmud.org/ in Jonathans honor on September 13th. You are welcome to come out and support us.
